Transitioning to school

We aim to prepare our children for their transition to school through our school readiness program and continually working towards the development of skills, confidence and independence.  We believe that school readiness is determined by much more than a child’s chronological age. In order to make a successful and happy start to school, children also need to have a firm grasp of language, motor coordination, social and emotional skills. Our school readiness program is linked to the class program and The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia “Belonging, Being and Becoming” to ensure that all developmental areas are covered. We have created a comprehensive checklist that will give families an overview of their child’s skills and help them to determine areas in which their child might need additional practice before school begins.
